The New Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid has been given a fresh update for 2027, bringing revised styling, an enhanced specification and more powerful Hybrid performance across the range.
Already one of Toyota’s most successful compact SUVs, the latest model builds on the qualities that have made it such a popular choice – combining manageable dimensions with SUV practicality and Toyota’s proven Hybrid technology.
And with the New Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid now available to order, here’s what’s changed.
Hybrid 130 Power Across the Range
One of the biggest updates for the New Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid is under the bonnet.
For the 2027 model year, Toyota’s Hybrid 130 powertrain is now standard across every grade, delivering up to 130 DIN hp. Previously, powertrain choice varied depending on grade.
The Hybrid system automatically manages petrol and electric power as you drive, with no need to plug in or plan journeys around charging.
Toyota quotes official WLTP combined fuel economy of between 55.3 and 64.1mpg for the latest model, depending on specification.
A Stronger New Look
The New Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid retains its familiar compact SUV proportions, but Toyota has made several changes to give the latest model a stronger appearance.
At the front, there’s a new honeycomb mesh grille treatment which integrates into the bodywork, together with redesigned headlights incorporating daytime running lights.
Design and Excel grades also gain new 17-inch and 18-inch alloy wheel designs, while the exterior colour range introduces three new finishes: Precious Bronze, Persian Salt and Storm Grey.
The GR Sport receives its own distinctive treatment, including a revised front bumper designed to give it a wider, more athletic appearance.
More Equipment from Icon Grade Upwards
Toyota has also increased the standard equipment offered across the New Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid range.
Even the Icon grade now includes features such as LED headlights with automatic high beam and auto-folding door mirrors, alongside established equipment including 16-inch alloy wheels, a reversing camera and a nine-inch multimedia touchscreen.
Move through the range and additional comfort, styling and technology features give customers the opportunity to choose the specification that best suits how they use their car.
Compact SUV Practicality for Everyday Life
Part of the appeal of the New Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid is that it offers many of the benefits people look for in an SUV without moving to a particularly large vehicle.
Its raised driving position and practical interior make it well suited to family life and longer journeys, while its compact dimensions make it easier to manoeuvre through busy streets and tighter parking spaces.
It’s a combination that makes the New Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid equally relevant for the daily commute, shopping trips, school runs and weekends away.
Toyota Safety Technology Built In
Safety and driver assistance remain an important part of the package.
Depending on grade and specification, technology available on the New Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid includes features such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Active Lane Control, Driver Monitoring, Traffic Sign Recognition and Adaptive Cruise Control.
The aim isn’t simply to add more technology, but to provide useful assistance that can help make everyday driving easier and more reassuring.
