Our Story

Family owned. Locally rooted. Toyota trusted.

SCC Toyota is a family-owned Toyota group serving Somerset and North Devon, with roots dating back to 1975 when the business began life as Somerset County Cars.

From those early foundations in Somerset, the business has grown into a trusted Toyota group serving drivers across Taunton, Yeovil, Roundswell and the wider South West.

Although our name has evolved, our values have remained the same. We are proud to be a family-owned business built on long-term relationships, honest advice and a genuine commitment to looking after our customers.

Today, SCC Toyota combines the reassurance of an established local business with the innovation of one of the world’s most respected automotive brands. From new and Approved Used Toyota sales to servicing, MOTs, parts, fleet and business support, our teams are here to support customers at every stage of ownership.

For us, being local matters. It means knowing our customers, supporting our communities and building a business that people can trust for generations.

What Makes SCC Toyota Different?

Driven by Trust

Family Owned

We’ve remained an independent family-owned business, building long-term relationships with customers and communities across the South West.

People First

Many of our customers return to SCC year after year, often dealing with the same familiar faces they know and trust.

Rooted Locally

From local charities and sports clubs to community initiatives and partnerships, we’re proud to support the areas we serve.

Growing Together

From Somerset County Cars to SCC Motor Group, we’ve evolved over the years while staying true to our values.

Driven by Trust

We believe doing the right thing for customers creates relationships that last far beyond the initial purchase.

Long-Term Relationships

Many of our customers have been part of the SCC family for years, returning time and again for sales, servicing and support they know they can rely on.

Proud to Support Our Local Communities

Charity and Sponsorship

At SCC Toyota, being part of the community means more than simply doing business here. We’re proud to support local sports clubs and organisations across Somerset and North Devon, helping the teams and clubs that bring people together week after week.

Our local partnerships span rugby, bowls and cricket, including our involvement with Toyota Good For Cricket – a nationwide initiative supporting grassroots cricket and helping clubs strengthen their place at the heart of their communities.
