SCC Toyota is delighted to be sponsoring the upcoming Somerset Chamber of Commerce Taunton Business Breakfast, bringing together businesses and professionals from across Somerset for a morning of networking, insight and new connections – with the opportunity to get behind the wheel of some of the latest Toyota models too.
Taking place at Taunton Rugby Club on Tuesday 3 November 2026, the event will combine informal business networking with expert insight into opportunities within the police sector and lessons in leadership, resilience and teamwork from former England international rugby player Ollie Devoto.
And as event sponsor, SCC Toyota will be bringing along a selection of the latest Toyota passenger cars and commercial vehicles for guests to experience.
Bringing Somerset Businesses Together
Somerset Chamber’s Business Breakfast events provide a relaxed opportunity for businesses from across the county to meet, make new connections and strengthen existing relationships.
Guests will have the chance to introduce their businesses, meet professionals from a wide range of sectors and explore opportunities to collaborate – all over breakfast and coffee.
As a Somerset business ourselves, SCC Toyota is proud to support an event that encourages businesses across the region to connect and grow.
Discover Opportunities Within Police Procurement
A key focus of November’s event will be the opportunities available for businesses interested in working with the police and wider public sector.
Ellie Vowles, Category Manager at South West Police Procurement Service, and Cherrie Hardwell, Corporate Business Partner at Avon and Somerset Police, will provide an overview of procurement and commercial opportunities within the police service.
Their session will provide businesses with a greater understanding of public sector procurement and how organisations can engage with potential opportunities.
Leadership, Resilience and Teamwork with Ollie Devoto
Guests will also hear from Ollie Devoto, former England international rugby player.
Drawing on his experiences in professional rugby, Ollie will share his perspective on leadership, resilience and teamwork and how lessons learned in elite sport can translate into the business environment.
Experience the Toyota Range
As part of SCC Toyota’s involvement in the morning, we’re giving attendees the opportunity to do more than simply see some of the latest Toyota models.
Guests can pre-book a 20-minute test drive in a selection of Toyota passenger and commercial vehicles during the event.
The planned test-drive line-up includes:
Toyota RAV4 – our latest-generation SUV, combining practicality with Toyota’s electrified technology.
Toyota C-HR+ – an all-electric SUV and an opportunity to experience Toyota battery electric driving first-hand.
Toyota Hilux – Toyota’s legendary pick-up, particularly relevant to businesses requiring a capable and versatile working vehicle.
Toyota Corolla Commercial – a practical commercial vehicle solution for businesses with demanding day-to-day requirements.
Toyota Proace City – compact, versatile and designed to provide businesses with useful load-carrying capability in a smaller package.
Toyota Land Cruiser Commercial – rugged, capable and designed to provide businesses with dependable load-carrying capability and confident performance across challenging terrain.
With passenger cars, an all-electric model, a pick-up and commercial vehicles available, it’s a great opportunity to compare very different Toyota solutions and discover which could work for you or your business.
Want to Take a Test Drive? Here’s How It Works
Test drives will last approximately 20 minutes and must be booked in advance. This allows us to allocate vehicles and time slots before the event and keep everything running smoothly on the morning.
1. Choose your Toyota
Complete the test-drive appointment form on this page and tell us which of the available Toyota models you’d most like to experience.
2. Request your test-drive slot
Provide your contact details and submit your request. Test-drive places are limited and your requested appointment is not confirmed until you have received confirmation from SCC Toyota.
3. Complete your driving licence check
For insurance and eligibility purposes, all drivers will need to complete the required driving licence check before their test drive can take place.
Once we receive your booking request, we’ll provide details of what is required and how to complete the check.
Please complete this in advance of the event. This means we can carry out the necessary checks beforehand rather than using your 20-minute driving slot for administration on the day.
4. Join us at Taunton Rugby Club
Come along to the Somerset Chamber Taunton Business Breakfast, enjoy the networking and speakers and meet the SCC Toyota team.
5. Get behind the wheel
When it’s time for your pre-booked appointment, meet the SCC Toyota team and experience your chosen Toyota on the road.
Test drives are subject to availability, driver eligibility, completion of the required driving licence checks and SCC Toyota’s test-drive terms and conditions.
Fleet & Business at SCC Toyota
The event is also a great opportunity to meet SCC Toyota’s Fleet & Business team.
Whether you’re responsible for a single company vehicle or a larger fleet, considering the transition to electric vehicles or looking for commercial vehicles to support your operation, our team can help you explore the options available.
Having the RAV4, C-HR+, Hilux, Corolla Commercial and Proace City represented at the event means businesses can see just how varied the Toyota range has become – and, with a pre-booked test drive, experience that difference for themselves.
