🌾 More Than a Pick-Up: Supporting the People Who Keep British Farming Moving | SCC Toyota

🌾 A Hilux That’s Still Earning Its Keep – A huge shout out to Britain’s farmers.

There’s something satisfying about seeing a vehicle doing exactly what it was built to do.

This photograph, sent to us by long-standing SCC Toyota customer Ed Bowditch of Cooper Dean Estate, shows his Toyota Hilux hard at work on the farm, more than two years after collecting it from Ryan Gasson at SCC Toyota Yeovil.

For Ryan, it’s more than just another customer photo. It’s a reminder of the relationships that make his job so rewarding.

“Seeing Ed’s Hilux still working hard every day is exactly what you hope for when you hand over the keys. Knowing it’s proving itself in the real world is incredibly rewarding.”

Built on Relationships

The Bowditch family have supported SCC Toyota for many years.

Over that time Ryan has supplied several vehicles to Ed, his brother and their wider family, while also welcoming recommendations from others they’ve sent our way.

That kind of loyalty isn’t something we ever take for granted.

For us, handing over a new vehicle isn’t the end of the journey—it’s the beginning of a long-term relationship. Whether it’s checking in after delivery, helping with the next vehicle, or simply enjoying seeing customers share photos of their vehicles at work, staying connected is part of what being a family-owned business is all about.

Mr Bowditch sent us this Photo not long after collecting his Hilux from Ryan 2 years ago.

Supporting British Farming

British farmers continue to face significant challenges, from unpredictable weather and rising operating costs to changing legislation and market pressures.

Throughout it all, they rely on equipment that simply has to work.

The Toyota Hilux has earned its reputation by doing exactly that. It’s designed to cope with demanding environments and long working days, helping businesses get on with the job regardless of the conditions.

Seeing Ed’s Hilux working across the fields is a reminder of the role these vehicles play in supporting the people who keep Britain’s farms running.

Looking Ahead

With the all-new Toyota Hilux arriving imminently at SCC Toyota, Ryan is looking forward to introducing the latest model to customers like Ed and seeing it put through its paces in the same demanding conditions.

If you’re already running a Hilux—or you’re considering your first—Ryan would be delighted to talk you through the latest model, discuss Approved Used options, or let you know as soon as our new demonstrator arrives at SCC Toyota Yeovil.

And if you’re one of our Hilux customers, we’d love to see your vehicle in action. Whether it’s on the farm, on site or out towing, share your photos with us—you might just feature in a future SCC Toyota story.

📸 We’d love to see your Hilux hard at work this harvest—share your photos in the comments.
